Summertime!

It’s so beautiful and there is so much to see and do outdoors.

Today I wanted to share ideas to Enrich Your Health and Happiness…enjoying nature.
The benefits of being in nature:
– Antidote for stress
– Can reduce ADHD symptoms
– Reduce recovery times of illness
– Natural settings with lots of plant life and water, increase negative ions which increase      levels of serotonin, which alleviate depression 🙂
– Increase mental health and mindfulness
Parents who spend time outdoors, have children who do.

Here are some simple ways I/we enjoy the outdoors:
– Gardening (I could write a book on the benefits of gardening)
– Picking berries
– Swimming in lakes and rivers. I’m not a ocean girl, but you might be.
– Walks and hikes (They don’t have to be hard, think strolling. It can be a walking meditation around your yard.)
– Camping
– Fire in a pit at home or camping
– Opening the windows for fresh air
I would encourage you to step on the grass and/or dirt everyday.  Take some deep breaths and feel the stress release itself into the earth.  Let your burdens be lifted up beyond the sky to God.  His creations are for us and this is the perfect time to enjoy them!
