My Healthy Chocolate Recipe for Wintry Days

Winter Blahs got you down.  Change things up and get outside for a breathe of fresh air.  Look around.  Release the “stuffy” in your life.

 

Mug of Spicy Cocoa 

Put 1 Tablespoon Spicy Cocoa Mix into mug.

Pour in 8 ounces boiling water and 5 to 10 drops liquid stevia or sweetener of choice.

Stir and add dash vanilla.

Top with a float of milk of choice (whole, skim, half & half, cream, almond, etc).

Optional: Put  1 Tablespoon semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips in mug with mix before adding water.

 

Spicy Cocoa Mix

1 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened

1 1/2 Tablespoons cinnamon

1 Tablespoon ginger powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne, or more to taste

Place into small bowl and whisk together. Top with whipped cream, if desired.  Enjoy!

Cinnamon – Balances and supports healthy blood sugar levels, natural anti-inflammatory,  and boosts brain function.

Ginger – Adds digestions and anti-inflammatory.

Cayenne -Improves circulation and metabolism and helps with headaches.
