Hot Chocolate Chai

Hot Chocolate Chai 

This is my favorite fall and winter beverage…treat.

It is full of fabulous anti-inflammatories, antioxidants, antidepression, flavonoid, 

antibacterial, immune-stimulating properties, and more. 

Besides, it tastes so good and will warm you up on those chilly days!

 

Chocolate Chai Mix

1 ½ cups cocoa powder, unsweetened

½ cup turmeric powder

¼ cup cardamon, ground

3 tablespoons ginger, ground

3 tablespoons cinnamon, ground

1 tablespoon allspice, ground

1 teaspoon cloves, ground

½ teaspoon cayenne powder

Mix. Label. Store in an air-tight container

 

To prepare a 12-ounce mug of Chocolate Chai:

  • Place 1 ½ teaspoon Chocolate Chai Mix and 8 ounces boiling water into a mug.
  • Add ½ cup of milk or cream of choice.
  • Stir well.  Sweeten to taste with stevia, honey, or sugar.
  • Add if desired: 1 tablespoon chocolate chips, ¼ teaspoon vanilla
  • Top with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon
